Sources familiar with the plans have now verified that President-elect Trump is now reportedly scheduled to attend the launch of a SpaceX rocket in Texas on Tuesday.

This event is the latest indication of Trump’s close relationship with the billionaire CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk.

The sixth test launch of the company’s Starship rocket is scheduled for 5 p.m. EST.

In the past few weeks, Trump and Musk have formed an increasingly intimate relationship.

Musk, the CEO of Tesla and the proprietor of social platform X, endorsed Trump following a July assassination attempt and contributed millions of dollars to a pro-Trump super PAC that assisted with voter turnout efforts.

Musk has maintained an almost constant presence at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, alongside Trump since Election Day.

He has participated in consultations with foreign leaders, attended meetings with the president-elect in Washington, and provided feedback on Cabinet positions.

Over the weekend, Musk also publicly expressed his opinion on the ongoing dispute regarding Trump’s selection of a Treasury secretary.

Musk, who was also appointed to co-lead a new government efficiency department with entrepreneur and former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, has been the subject of Trump’s affection.

He frequently referenced Musk during his campaign rallies and recounted an experience of witnessing a SpaceX launch in which a pair of mechanical limbs captured a detached booster rocket.
