Larry Kudlow, a former member of the Trump administration and presenter of Fox Business, will not be participating in the second iteration of President-elect Donald Trump’s administration, despite rumors that he was in the running for a prominent economic position.

“Kudlow met late this week with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, the president-elect’s private Florida club, the people said. Trump’s advisers see Kudlow as a contender to lead the National Economic Council and possibly the Treasury Department.” the Wall Street Journal reported.

The Bloomberg report strongly implied that he was not interested, despite his lack of comment. This assertion appears to have been corroborated by his current employer, Fox News.

Kudlow, who was 77 years old at the time, served as the National Economic Director under Trump for nearly three years.

He remained in the position until the conclusion of the president-elect’s first tenure in the White House.
