Melania Trump stood up for her husband, former President Donald Trump, firmly stating that he should not be likened to Adolf Hitler.
Democrats, including Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who is the running mate of Vice President Kamala Harris, criticized Trump for organizing a rally at Madison Square Garden, drawing parallels to a Nazi event.
“There’s a direct parallel to a big rally that happened in the mid-1930s at Madison Square Garden,” Walz said about the American Nazi party’s rally at the location in February 1939.
“And don’t think that he doesn’t know for one second exactly what they’re doing there,” he added.
Melania Trump clapped back at the assertions on Tuesday during an appearance on “Fox & Friends.”
“It is terrible. He is not Hitler and his supporters stand behind him because they want to see country successful. We see what kind of support he has,” she remarked.
Melania Trump really classes up any joint. She’s so classy and elegant and soft spoken. Maybe that’s the key to Trump’s energy. Having a wife that looks like her 😂😂 pic.twitter.com/RgYw2yntnC

During her conversation on the conservative network, Melania expressed her belief that her husband would succeed on Election Day.
“I feel good. My husband, he’s all over the country traveling,” she noted “We saw Sunday evening, Sunday through the day was amazing day, a lot of support out there.”
At a rally on Monday, Trump dismissed the label used by Vice President Harris and some of his former staffers who have called him a fascist, calling himself “the opposite of a Nazi.”
“You know, years ago, my father — I had a great father, tough guy — he used to always say, ‘Never use the word Nazi. Never use that word.’ And he’d say, ‘Never use the word Hitler. Don’t use that word,”” he explained.
Melania has made few appearances on the campaign trail, with her attendance at Madison Square Garden a rare exception. She attended the Republican National Convention but did not address the audience and skipped both presidential debates.
On her choice to speak at the New York rally, she said, “I want to support my husband as well so I was there for him and for everybody else.”
She admitted to being cautious about her appearances following two assassination attempts on her husband.
“It is different. It is much more dangerous and I am very vigilant and selective where I go, what do I do, you never know. It is one person. And it is dangerous out there,'” Melania explained.
