Oliver Darcy of Status reports that New York magazine placed reporter Olivia Nuzzi on leave after it discovered a romantic relationship she had with former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Darcy included a statement from New York regarding the personnel decision in a report that was posted on Thursday night.
Darcy further stated that the relationship between the 31-year-old reporter and the 70-year-old political scion commenced following a profile she wrote on Kennedy in November 2023, according to a source close to Nuzzi.

Kennedy initially pursued the Democratic nomination; however, he ultimately opted to pursue an independent campaign. Nevertheless, he ultimately renounced that campaign and endorsed former President Donald Trump.
Kennedy is married to actress Cheryl Hines. Ryan Lizza, a correspondent, is engaged to Nuzzi. Kennedy was purportedly boasting about his relationship with Nuzzi in private, according to Darcy.
