The timetable of Democratic front-runner Kamala Harris suggests that she will make her choice for a running mate known before to a Tuesday event in Philadelphia.

Campaign insiders who spoke with Politico about the event said that it will be the first time the newly-formed Democratic ticket appears together. In just four days, they will be making seven appearances in significant swing states.

According to sources close to the campaign, Harris is still deciding on her choice; possible contenders include Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.

The launchpad’s selection of Philadelphia has sparked more conjecture over Harris’ running mate, as some people think Shapiro is the likely candidate.

The Democratic team is preparing for a fierce contest as Harris gets ready to head out on this pivotal tour, with stops planned in Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada after the announcement in Philadelphia.
