According to a brand new poll, former President Trump is currently leading President Biden by 2 points in a hypothetical race among Pennsylvania voters.
The Marist Poll survey, which was published on Wednesday, revealed that Trump received 47 percent of the vote, while President Biden received 45 percent.
Robert F. Kennedy, an independent candidate, received only 3 percent of the vote, while 2 percent of the electorate remained uncommitted.
A two-point advantage is within the poll’s margin of error.
The survey indicates that 42 percent of independent voters in the Keystone State support the presumptive GOP nominee, 40 percent support Biden, and 8 percent support Kennedy, while Trump edges Biden by a similar margin.
Biden’s narrow victory in 2020 will be a critical battleground state for the candidates to secure their victory in the November rematch. Pennsylvania is one such state.
The poll also observes that the incumbent has experienced a decline in support among Black voters, despite the fact that he continues to maintain a substantial lead over Trump, with 68 percent to 23 percent.
Nevertheless, in 2020, Black voters in the state overwhelmingly supported Biden over the former president, with 92 percent of the vote to 7 percent.
Biden also experienced a decline in support among electors under the age of 45, a demographic that he had previously secured by 24 percentage points in 2020.
Currently, he maintains a two-point advantage over Trump, with 46 percent to 44 percent.
Simultaneously, the former president secured a 12 percentage point victory among electors aged 45 and older in 2020.
Nevertheless, he maintains a three-point advantage in this poll, with 48 percent of the vote to Biden’s 45 percent.
