A former White House staffer has taken to national television to announce that she is considering voting for the Democrat in 2024.
It would be shocking if it weren’t so predictable.
During an interview with CNN, Cassidy Hutchinson, a former administrative assistant in the White House, continued her best effort to cash in on being a Republican who hates Republicans, which is the mainstream media’s favorite kind.
The Washington Examiner writes:
“I would absolutely consider voting for President Biden,” Hutchinson said. “I would encourage, I would never tell Americans how to vote, but I do know there are a lot of Americans who currently are on the fence about who to vote for. And these are active conversations that we need to engage in over the next six, seven months.”
“But I would encourage people on that fence to really do a deep dive and look at the damage that Donald Trump has done to our democracy and what he would continue to do in a potential second Trump term and to really weigh that when they’re considering who to vote for,” she added.
Hutchinson has made a post-White House career out of her criticism of Trump but hasn’t given much input on Biden besides saying he won the election in 2020. Her new stance could position her as an active ally of Democrats.
“Policy is important for who we elect to the Oval Office. But what I argue, especially in this next election cycle, is the character of the individual matters far more than any policy that they may or may not implement,” she said earlier in the interview. “Donald Trump’s character has been evident for a very long time, but he’s had a team of people around him who have really isolated him in this false identity of a strong man.”

In March, Hutchison’s testimony before the January 6 Committee, which launched her into the spotlight, was proven to be false. She claimed that the former president lunged after the steering wheel of the presidential limousine as he tried to commandeer the vehicle and drive to the Capitol on the day of the mobbing.
While the statement grabbed headlines, it was later contradicted by those actually in the vehicle at the time.
“’The president was insistent on going to the Capitol,’ recounted the driver, whose name was not disclosed. ‘It was clear to me he wanted to go to the Capitol. He was not screaming at Mr. Engel. He was not screaming at me. Certainly his voice was raised, but it did not seem to me that he was irate — certainly not, certainly didn’t seem as irritated or agitated as he had on the way to the Ellipse.’
But, the driver said, Mr. Trump never lunged for the steering wheel or physically accosted the agents, contradicting one of the most sensational and hotly disputed elements of testimony given to the House Jan. 6 committee by a White House aide. The transcript of the driver is the first extensive eyewitness account of what happened in the armored vehicle to be made public,” wrote The New York Times.
For some reason, the January 6 Committee forgot to talk to them.
