In order to ensure the safety of the United States, President-elect Donald Trump made it clear on Sunday that the United States must maintain authority over Greenland, which is the largest island in the world.

The comments made by Trump were buried deep within a social media post in which he declared that he was going to consider Ken Howery for the position of United States Ambassador to Denmark, which is the nation that is in charge of Greenland.

If the United States were to gain control of Greenland, it would provide them a significant advantage in the fight against the challenges posed by Russia and China in the Arctic.

Controlling Greenland would not only eliminate the substantial military and scientific buildup that both countries have invested in that region, but it would also place the United States in a position to emerge victorious in the competition for control of the Arctic.

“I am pleased to announce Ken Howery as my choice for United States Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark. Ken is a World renowned entrepreneur, investor, and public servant, who served our Nation brilliantly during my First Term as U.S. Ambassador to Sweden, where he led efforts to increase Defense, Security, and Economic Cooperation between our Countries.” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

“As a Co-Founder of PayPal and venture capital fund, Founders Fund, Ken turned American Innovation and Tech leadership into Global success stories, and that experience will be invaluable in representing us abroad.” he added.

“For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity. Ken will do a wonderful job in representing the interests of the United States. Thank you Ken, and congratulations!” Trump concluded.
