President-elect Donald Trump has now criticized the Biden Administration for selling off portions of the border wall, asserting that it is “almost a criminal act.” Additionally, he stated that he plans to pursue a restraining order against Biden over the matter.
After an investigation revealed that the Biden administration was selling off portions of the border wall in public auctions with the intention of unloading the wall before Trump assumes office in January, Trump made the statement.
An individual Republican Senator discovered that the administration was only recovering 0.2% of the initial cost of the wall material from taxpayers.
“The administration is trying to sell it for five cents on the dollar knowing that we’re getting ready to put it up. What they’re doing … It’s almost a criminal act. They know that we’re going to use it and if we don’t have it we’re going to have to rebuild it and it will cost double what it cost years ago and that’s hundreds of millions of dollars.” Trump remarked in a recent press conference.
“I spoke with the Attorney General of Texas, I spoke with the Senators of Texas, I spoke to a lot of people and hopefully they’ll be able to stop it. We’re going to be having a restraining order. I am asking Joe Biden today to please stop selling the wall.” he added.

He also clarified that certain buyers have already acquired the border wall at a price of three cents per foot, and they are now proposing to resell it to the Trump administration for hundreds of dollars per foot.
“That has nothing to do with a smooth transition that has to do with people really trying to stop our nation. And all it means really is that we’re going to spend hundreds of millions of dollars more, not even talking about the time. We’ll spend hundreds of millions of dollars more on building the same wall that we already have.” he concluded.
