According to the most recent reports that have been submitted to the Federal Election Commission (FEC), the tech billionaire Elon Musk reportedly spent at least $250 million to assist in propelling President-elect Trump back into the residence of the White House.

During the course of the 2024 election season, the executive of Tesla and SpaceX contributed approximately $239 million to America PAC, his super PAC that supported Trump’s candidacy for the presidency, according to filings that were filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on Thursday night.

As evidenced by the documents, this includes three contributions totaling $25 million that were made during the latter two weeks of October.

Canvassing, direct mail, internet advertising, and get-out-the-vote operations were all areas in which the outside group, which had registered with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) in late May, spent significant sums of money.

The controversial super PAC sponsored a campaign that consisted of lotteries with prizes of one million dollars, which were offered to voters from seven battleground states and required them to sign a petition in order to participate.

In October, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner (D) filed a lawsuit against the political action committee (PAC) in an effort to put an end to the giveaway.

The initiative was scrutinized both in public and in the courts.

According to filings with the Federal Election Commission (FEC), America PAC described each of the winners of one million dollars as payments for “spokesperson consultant.”

An amount greater than forty million dollars was spent by Musk on the checks alone.

In spite of the fact that the vast bulk of Musk’s public contributions were directed toward America PAC, the CEO of SpaceX provided funding to another super PAC that sought to modify Trump’s position on abortion.

It was not until the general election in 2024 that RBG PAC disclosed its donations, despite the fact that it had been registered with the FEC on October 16th.

However, the most recent filing revealed that Musk was the single contributor to the organization, donating $20.5 million through his Elon Musk Revocable Trust, which is headquartered in Austin, Texas, on October 24.

It is likely that Musk has contributed even more money to initiatives to support Trump, given that more reports are expected to be filed with the Federal Election Commission by Super PACs and other politically active entities.
