Former Fox News presenter Bill O’Reilly predicted that President-elect Trump would encounter no Republican opposition in Congress, as the House and Senate are under Republican control.
The former president would have a “free-fire zone” to implement his agenda, as O’Reilly referred to it as a “unique time in history.”
The former Fox Star went on to claim that there will be not “one Congressperson now that will be in dissent on the Republican side.”
O’Reilly noted that Cleveland confronted significant congressional opposition, whereas Trump would likely have a cooperative Republican majority.
He also compared Trump’s potential second term to that of former President Grover Cleveland, the only other nonconsecutive president.
He suggested to the president-elect that he concentrate on five or six measures that are nearly unopposable, including border security, immigration reform, tax cut extensions, and legislation that targets sanctuary cities.
