As Election Day approaches, Vice President Harris leads former President Trump among registered voters by a mere three points, according to recent Reuters/Ipsos polling.
The poll, which was released on Tuesday, revealed that Harris had a 46 percent advantage over Trump (43 percent) among registered voters nationwide, a narrower margin than the 6-point lead she held late last month.
She also experienced a decline in her lead among likely voters, shifting from 47 percent to 45 percent. That shifts the contest among likely voters from a 6-point Harris advantage in September to a statistical tie this month, according to the pollster.
Harris has held a lead over her Republican opponent in each of the six Reuters/Ipsos polls conducted since she entered the race this summer.
According to the most recent poll, voters favored Trump’s stance on a variety of economic matters, such as taxes and the cost of living, and they also indicated that he received an advantage from concerns regarding immigration.
The poll was conducted by Reuters/Ipsos from October 4-7 and included 1,272 adults in the United States. According to the survey, 1,076 individuals were enrolled to vote, while 969 were deemed to be the most likely to participate. The complete sample had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.8 percentage points, while registered voters had a margin of error of 3.1 points and likely voters was 3.2 points.
