On Thursday, former President Donald Trump castigated the Biden-Harris administration for allocating FEMA funds to shelter illegal immigrants, despite the government’s warning that it may not have sufficient funds to provide hurricane relief in the future.
Trump delivered the remarks at a rally in Saginaw, Michigan, where he addressed the Biden administration’s response to Hurricane Helene, the border, and economic policy.
Trump referred to the Biden-Harris response to Hurricane Helene, which has resulted in over 200 fatalities, as the “worst response in the history of hurricanes.”
“If you want to see how sick and distorted Kamala Harris’ priorities are, just consider FEMA. Kamala spent all her FEMA money, billions of dollars, on housing for illegal migrants, many of whom should not be in our country.” Trump said.
“Now we have a horrific disaster in North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, and Virginia. And the Harris-Biden administration says they don’t have any money…they spent it all on illegal migrants.” he continued.
Trump declared that it was unethical to allocate funds for the housing of unlawful immigrants while homeless veterans were living on the streets.
Trump also stated that he would strive to establish Michigan as a hub for automobile manufacturing during his speech.
“We’re going to take back our auto industry for Michigan. We’re going to make it the car capital of the world. We’re not going to let them steal your business. And it’ll end up being bigger and better and more beautiful and more important than it was at its height.” Trump said.
