During her inaugural interview as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee on Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris reiterated her commitment to advocating for price control policies in an effort to divert attention from the economic challenges that have plagued the Biden-Harris administration.
“Prices in particular for groceries are still too high. The American people know it. I know it. Which is why my agenda includes what we need to do to bring down the price of groceries. For example, dealing with an issue like price gouging.” Harris said.
Harris made the comments during a taped CNN interview when she was asked about her response to electors who desire a return to the state of affairs that existed under former President Donald Trump.
Harris initiated her argument by attributing the COVID-19 pandemic to Trump’s “mismanagement.”

Kamala: “You are right. Prices are too high.”

In the U.S. Senate, Harris cast the tie-breaking vote to advance the American Rescue Plan, a $1.9 trillion spending program that contributed to the highest inflation rates in 40 years.
In addition, she reiterated her intention to provide $25,000 to first-time homebuyers, a measure that policy experts have warned would increase the cost of housing.
