Vice President Kamala Harris verified on Thursday that she will participate in only one debate prior to the upcoming election.

This is far less than the number of debates that former President Donald Trump is proposing, which was three.

An official from Harris’ campaign stated that she would not consent to the presidential debate on Fox News on September 4, which was proposed by Trump.

In addition, Harris regards future debates as “conditional” on Trump’s attendance at the ABC News debate scheduled for September 10.

Earlier, Trump and his campaign disclosed their intention to participate in three debates next month, which will include the ABC and Fox events. They stated that the third event would be hosted by NBC News on September 25.

In a press conference, Trump stated that Harris may or may not agree with all of the debates.

He claimed that Harris was “barely competent” and criticized his opponent for failing to participate in interviews as a presidential candidate.

Harris subsequently expressed her enthusiasm for the debate on September 10, as reported by NBC News. ABC News confirmed that both parties had consented to participate in the event.
