Vice President Harris is reportedly now on the brink of officially making a decision on her running mate, with a public announcement set for early Tuesday ahead of an evening rally in Philadelphia.

Harris conducted interviews with potential candidates for her ticket over the weekend, including Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D).

Politico was the first to report that the campaign is anticipated to disclose its decision via a video. However, it is possible that the decision could be disclosed sooner.

According to Reuters, Harris has reduced the field to Shapiro and Walz.

The announcement on Tuesday will mark the conclusion of a frantic search that occurred under unusual circumstances.

Harris and her team were granted approximately two weeks to evaluate, assess, and choose a running mate after President Biden ceased his candidacy approximately two weeks ago.

The list of potential running companions has reportedly been reduced in recent days as Harris’s team has sent vetting materials to numerous contenders.

Andy Beshear (D), Kentucky Governor, and Pete Buttigieg, Transportation Secretary, have also been considered in addition to Shapiro, Walz, and Kelly.

Eric Holder, the former Attorney General, was observed entering Harris’s domicile at the Naval Observatory on Sunday. His firm has reportedly been largely responsible for the vetting process.
