In his most recent nationwide survey, pollster Scott Rasmussen tweeted on Friday that Vice President Kamala Harris was beating former President Donald Trump by five points.
The far-right-leaning Rasmussen Reports should not be confused with Rasmussen’s polling from his company, RMG Research.
Although the polling data was not posted on Twitter or X, including methodology and margin of error, it was still noteworthy for the jump made by the new presumed Democratic presidential candidate in less than two weeks.
RMG Research conducted a survey of 3,000 registered voters between July 29 and July 31, 2024. Of those surveyed, 47% declared they would vote for Harris, 42% for Trump, and 6% for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the independent candidate.
Harris +5…
We don't know yet if this is a temporary bounce or the first indicator of lasting change in the race… A week ago, it was a toss-up (Trump 44% Harris 43%).
Stay tuned! https://t.co/NlSmqgRsBR
