According to a recent St. Anselm College study of 1,700 registered voters in New Hampshire, the state may have shifted significantly away from President Joe Biden and toward Donald Trump, the presumed Republican presidential nominee, following their debate last week.
As per the poll, Trump is currently leading Biden by two points (44%–42%).
Just 4% of voters supported Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is launching an independent presidential campaign after first competing in the Democratic primaries.
Comparing the results to the December results of the previous St. Anselm study, there has been a remarkable improvement. Biden had a clear 10-point lead in the catbird seat back then.

There’s evidence that the electorate was already leaning toward Trump, but there’s also evidence that Biden’s performance in last week’s debate contributed to the change.
Just 6% of respondents who were aware of the debate believed that Biden had won, compared to 54% who thought Trump had won.
There is a 2.3% margin of error in the poll. Answers were gathered from June 28 to June 29.
