On Tuesday, Joy Behar, host of ABC’s “The View,” and MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow both predicted that former President Donald Trump would fire them if reelected in November.
During Tuesday’s episode of Behar’s lunchtime talk program, the two leftist presenters suggested that Trump would use any weapon at his disposal to punish his detractors, whom they both acknowledged were there.
Behar pressed Maddow for more information on her earlier remarks, which she had made to CNN the week before, stating that she thought Trump intended to construct camps and house people there.
“So you said recently that you thought you, as an outspoken critic, could be a target yourself. Some people think that sounds overdramatic, but I’m right there with you.” Behar said.
“I think that he is so vindictive that he will go after [us], however he has to, through the IRS maybe, or even through sponsors, to get us off the air maybe, or you.” she continued.
”I’m worried about the country broadly if we put someone in power who is openly avowing that he plans to build camps to hold millions of people and to ‘root out’ what he’s described in subhuman terms as his ‘enemy from within,’” Maddow had previously told CNN.

She continued, telling Behar that while she was concerned about herself, she wasn’t more concerned about other people who would have negative things to say about Trump, who she believed Trump was preparing to silence by force in his second term.
