On Thursday, the Biden-Harris campaign issued a statement in which it celebrated the Manhattan jury’s guilty verdict in the hush-money trial of former President Donald Trump.

Trump was found guilty of all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in connection with hush-money payments received by porn actress Stormy Daniels prior to the 2016 election by the jury, which commenced deliberations on Wednesday following the conclusion of closing arguments.

The charges were filed by Manhattan Democratic District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and Judge Juan Merchan, who contributed to President Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign, presided over the trial.

The Biden-Harris campaign subsequently asserted that Trump was running on a platform of pursuing revenge against his political opponents and “pledging to be a dictator.”

Judge Merchan has scheduled Trump’s sentencing for July 11.

This means that the final decision from Merchan in the hush-money case, which has kept Trump off the campaign trail for much of the past month, will come just four days before the Republican National Convention, where Trump is set to be nominated for the presidency.
