Greg Gutfeld and Fox News Media have now reportedly reached a multi-year contract extension, ensuring his continued role as the host of the popular opinion/comedy show Gutfeld! and as a co-host on The Five.
In addition, he will sometimes take on the role of hosting and producing content for the subscription streaming service Fox Nation.
The details of the agreement were not made public.
Since its introduction to the weeknight lineup three years ago, Gutfeld’s show has emerged as a remarkable success story for Fox News. In the latest quarter, the show emerged as the leader in the 25-54 demographic, with an average of 304,000 viewers.
In March, it garnered an impressive average of 2.19 million viewers, placing it among the top five in terms of total viewership. Gutfeld is one of the panelists on The Five, which emerged as the leading cable news show last quarter, with an impressive average of 3.04 million viewers.
Fox News introduced Gutfeld! in the 11 p.m. ET time slot as a late-night competitor to long-standing broadcast network shows.
Last year, the show underwent a time change, being moved up by an hour. The dynamic duo of George “Tyrus” Murdoch and Kat Timpf continue to captivate audiences with their engaging presence.
Gutfeld has an impressive hosting background, having helmed The Greg Gutfeld Show on Fox News from 2015 to 2021. Prior to that, he also hosted the popular Red Eye program on the same network.
