Former President Donald Trump’s petition to be removed from the 2024 Republican primary ballot was denied by the Michigan Supreme Court.

The decision follows the Colorado Supreme Court’s disqualification of Trump from running for office in 2024 last week.

The 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution was invoked to render the disqualification, which pertains to the Capitol disturbance that occurred on January 6, 2021.

States such as Wisconsin, Texas, and Nevada are currently deliberating on disqualification lawsuits pertaining to Trump’s presence on the ballot.
