OMAHA, NE – November 28, 2023 – Charles Munger, the longtime vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway and one of the world’s most respected investors, passed away peacefully at a California hospital on Tuesday. He was 99.
Munger was a close confidant and partner to Warren Buffett, the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. Together, they built Berkshire Hathaway into one of the most successful companies in history. Munger was known for his wisdom, wit, and contrarian investment philosophy. He was a strong advocate for value investing and a vocal critic of Wall Street excesses.
Munger’s death is a significant loss to the world of investing. He was a true original and a master of his craft. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
