Former President Donald Trump, in retaliation for Democratic allegations that he is being targeted, threatened to weaponize his own Department of Justice.

The former president implied that if he were to assume the presidency in 2024, he might employ the FBI and Justice Department to pursue adversaries.

Trump attacked President Joe Biden in an hour-long interview with the Spanish-language television network Univision that aired on Thursday for weaponizing federal agencies in an effort to halt his presidential campaign.

Acevedo inquired whether, if reelected, Trump would also employ those departments as weapons against his opponents.

President Trump is currently confronted with four distinct criminal cases.

These include business fraud charges in New York, two federal cases pertaining to his manipulation of classified documents and endeavors to annul the 2020 election, and an election interference case in Georgia concerning his attempts to disrupt the state’s 2020 presidential election.

As per individuals with knowledge of the situation or conversations with Trump, the former president has reportedly informed his advisers and friends that he intends to conduct an investigation into several former administration members through the Justice Department.

Those individuals include former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Mark Milley, former chief of staff John F. Kelly, and former Attorney General William Barr.
