Former President Donald Trump reportedly officially responded on Monday to Special Counsel John Durham’s ruling that the FBI launched its investigation into Trump’s alleged links to Russia using “uncorroborated intelligence.”
The investigation was first started by the FBI to look into Trump’s potential contacts with the Russian government during the 2016 presidential election.
“WOW! After extensive research, Special Counsel John Durham concludes the FBI never should have launched the Trump-Russia Probe! In other words, the American Public was scammed, just as it is being scammed right now by those who don’t want to see GREATNESS for AMERICA!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social Platform.
Durham was chosen by Attorney General Bill Barr in 2019 to look into the beginnings of the FBI’s inquiry, known as “Crossfire Hurricane.”
Durham concluded that neither the United States nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of Crossfire Hurricane in a report that summarized the results of his four-year investigation.
The study came to the conclusion that FBI agents were inclined to look into Trump.
In response to the Durham report’s conclusions, the FBI acknowledged that changes were made to the organization following the commencement of Crossfire Hurricane.
