Kari Lake, a former Arizona gubernatorial candidate, has now reportedly flipped on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), whom she formerly praised and referred to as a model for Republican governors throughout the country.
Lake posted an item from the website Gateway Pundit on Thursday, that falsely claimed DeSantis had been ‘endorsed’ by infamous left-wing billionaire George Soros.

In reality, the billionaire and progressive megadonor had just predicted that DeSantis will defeat former President Donald Trump for the Republican nomination in 2024.
Lake has spent the months following her loss saying that the 2022 election was stolen from her and being spotted regularly in the circle of former President Trump.
Lake had formerly repeatedly praised DeSantis for his conservative record as Florida Governor:
Every GOP Governor in the country looks to DeSantis for leadership on how to run a state.
He is a fantastic leader, but when I’m the governor of Arizona, I won’t have to wait for his cues.
I’ll take the lead & pave the way to freedom before anybody else, even Governor DeSantis.

Although DeSantis has not yet publicly declared his candidacy for the Republican nomination, he has already become a main target of former President Trump who has repeatedly attacked him on his Truth Social platform, calling him ‘Ron DeSanticimonious’ and ‘Meatball Ron’ among other things.
In spite of this, most political observers expect the Florida Governor to officially announce his candidacy for the presidency later this year, potentially after the closing of the Florida statehouse’s legislative session.
