The FBI reportedly frequently alerted Twitter officials about foreign electoral meddling activities, according to the newest installment of the so-called ‘Twitter Files,’ which was published on Monday.

As a result, the explosive article from the New York Post regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop was suppressed.

Previous releases from the project showed that federal law enforcement policed content on the platform and requested executives to remove specific posts, according to information made public by independent journalists based on emails and other internal company documents provided by Twitter CEO Elon Musk.

FBI authorities put pressure on Twitter management to conceal the story even before the New York Post published the now-famous October 2020 piece, which contained proof that Hunter Biden had introduced his father to a Ukrainian businessman.

Additionally, Twitter received more than $3.4 million from the FBI for their “legal process response,” which is presumably a reference to the time Twitter officials spent working with the organization.

On the evening of October 13, eleven papers were provided by FBI Special Agent Elvis Chan to former Twitter Head of Site Integrity Yoel Roth, hours before the publication of the New York Post piece.

Chan pushed Roth to “confirm receipt” of the papers and assured him that they were “not spam.” Roth responded after a little pause.

Beyond the conversations on October 13, Shellenberger cited Roth’s court evidence and subsequent remarks by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta.

They said that, despite Chan’s admission that no fresh evidence had led to them to draw such a judgment, FBI officials had spent months preparing Twitter and Facebook leadership to anticipate “hack-and-leak operations” from state actors ahead of the 2020 election.

And it appears that it may have been just such preparations from the FBI that made executives at Twitter so willing to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story in the name of suppressing foreign disinformation.
