Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy  endorsed Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) for leadership of the Democratic Party during a Fox News apperance on Thursday.

“The House just passed a critical bill to keep Americans safe from illegal aliens by deporting all who are convicted of sex crimes. Kind of obvious, right? But how did most Democrats react? Whopping 145 House Democrats voted against this common sense legislation.” Laura Ingraham asked.

“How do you expect Senate Democrats to handle this, given the reaction among the public to what went down in the House, to that Democrat opposition?” Ingraham went on to ask McCarthy as he joined her show.

“I think the Democrats in the Senate are gonna vote for it. Listen to Fetterman. I mean, Fetterman should be the leader of the Democratic Party if they ever want to win the majority again.” McCarthy responded.

“Don’t give him any ideas.” Ingraham replied.

“But they are so out of touch. I would expect the Democrats to talk like this a year ago, before the election. Have they not heard what the voters have said? Remember, this isn’t throw everyone out who came here illegally who broke the law… You have to sexually assault somebody and they still want to protect.” McCarthy added.

Last Monday, Fetterman endorsed the deportation of undocumented immigrants who perpetrate crimes within the United States.

President-elect Donald Trump commended Fetterman last month following a meeting with the Senate Democrat at Mar-a-Lago.
