During a recent episode of the podcast Talk Easy, host Sam Fragoso confronted Senator Elizabeth Warren about her past defense of former President Joe Biden’s mental acuity, making her visibly uncomfortable.
The discussion centered around Warren’s statements defending Biden’s sharpness, which she maintained throughout his 2024 presidential campaign.
Fragoso directly asked Warren if she regretted claiming that Biden exhibited mental acuity, noting that she had expressed this view up until July of the previous year.
Warren hesitated before responding, asserting, “I said what I believed to be true.” When Fragoso pressed further, asking if she believed Biden was as sharp as herself, she appeared to freeze momentarily.
Warren insisted that she had not observed any decline in Biden’s cognitive abilities. Fragoso challenged her by asking if she noticed any difference between Biden in 2024 and Biden in 2021.
She continued to defend her stance, claiming, “He was sharp. He was on his feet.”
Fragoso countered, stating, “Senator, ‘on his feet’ is not praise. ‘He can speak in sentences’ is not praise,” to which Warren conceded, acknowledging the validity of his point.

The exchange highlighted Warren’s struggle to justify her previous comments amid growing concerns about Biden’s mental fitness.
Many Democrats and media figures had previously defended Biden against accusations of cognitive decline, often blaming right-leaning media for exaggerating the issue.
However, as opinions shift, some of those same individuals have begun to acknowledge the cognitive challenges that plagued the former president during his final days in office.
This interaction underscores the ongoing debate within the Democratic Party regarding what certain individuals knew about Biden’s declining mental capabilities in the wake of their crushing defeat in the 2024 election.
