Elon Musk, another Trump ally, was reportedly castigated by Laura Loomer, a close ally of the President-elect, for being a “Stage 5 clinger.”
On Monday, Loomer participated in Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast, where he discussed the ongoing conflict with Musk. Bannon was a former adviser to the Trump White House.
“I think that a lot of people have a hard time speaking truth to power, and a lot of people are afraid of taking on billionaires. He is the richest man in the world, and so he kind of orbits President Trump.” Loomer said.
“As I called him the other day, I said he’s a Stage 5 clinger,” she added.
Musk, who has been appointed to co-lead Trump’s “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE), has become a member of the president-elect’s inner circle and is embroiled in political drama just prior to Inauguration Day.
Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, a fellow tech entrepreneur and co-leader of DOGE, were criticized by a few of Trump’s supporters for their endorsement of the H-1B work visa, a critical immigration program that is intended to attract international talent.
Loomer and other hard-line immigration Republicans harshly criticized Musk on X, the social media platform he owns.
Musk was accused of censorship following the creation of numerous right-wing X accounts, including Loomer’s.
Loomer stated on Bannon’s podcast that numerous individuals associated with Trump are acknowledging that they are unable to critique Musk, in part due to the fact that they rely on the platform’s monetization of their posts.
Loomer inquired as to whether Musk truly endorses Trump’s “America First agenda” or if he is attempting to advance an alternative agenda.
“It doesn’t matter what side of the political aisle a billionaire is on. I don’t think that it’s acceptable for billionaires to have this much power and this much access.” she remarked.
