Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Donald Trump and a rising talent in amateur golf, will reportedly step onto one of the biggest stages in women’s golf next month.

She has been selected to compete in her first LPGA event, a milestone that underscores both her promise in the sport and the growing attention she has drawn on the junior circuit.

Tournament organizers announced Tuesday that Trump will play in “The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican,” part of the LPGA’s fall series scheduled for Nov. 10-16 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. The invitation marks a significant opportunity for the young golfer to take her game to the professional level, if only for a week.

The eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr., Kai Trump is a senior at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach, Florida, and has already committed to join the University of Miami’s women’s golf team this fall.

She has spent recent years competing in junior and amateur events across the country, gaining experience in the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) and the South Florida PGA’s Srixon Medalist Tour. Her résumé includes a third-place finish at an AJGA event in July.

For Trump, the LPGA invitation represents the fulfillment of a long-held ambition.

“My dream has been to compete with the best in the world on the LPGA Tour,” she said in a statement accepting the sponsor’s exemption. “This event will be an incredible experience. I look forward meeting and competing against so many of my heroes and mentors in golf as I make my LPGA Tour debut.”

She will take the course alongside other notable sponsor invites, including WNBA star Caitlin Clark, as well as some of the sport’s premier professionals. The tournament is hosted by Annika Sörenstam — one of golf’s most decorated champions — and features a competitive field including Nelly Korda, Charley Hull, and Lexi Thompson.

The Trump family’s connection to golf is well known, and Kai’s advancement in the sport has become a particular point of pride for the president. Known for his enthusiasm for the game, Donald Trump recently appeared in a YouTube video on his granddaughter’s channel in which they played a round together at his private club outside Washington, D.C.

While she remains early in her golfing career, Kai Trump represents the next generation of young American athletes working to rise through one of the most competitive pipelines in sports. Her presence in a professional setting — under the guidance of some of her “heroes and mentors” — offers her a first look at the level she hopes to reach in the years ahead.

As the political world continues to swirl around the Trump name, next month in Florida the focus will shift, even if briefly, to a different kind of contest: one on the fairways, where performance, talent, and composure will determine the headlines.
