On Monday, the tech billionaire Elon Musk reportedly posed a question to his followers on the social platform X, which he owns, seeking their opinion on whether or not the United States “should liberate the people of Britain from their tyrannical government.”

Following the ongoing attacks by Musk, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, has issued a statement condemning the “lies and misinformation” that are allegedly weakening his country’s democracy as well as his record.

The millionaire in the IT industry has recently made efforts to utilize the strength of his social media network in order to boost far-right movements in Germany and the United Kingdom.

Musk has been strengthening nationalist and anti-immigrant politicians in the United Kingdom and Germany, two countries in which he has large economic assets, over the course of the previous few days.

He has advocated for new elections to be held in the United Kingdom, spoken out against Starmer, and expressed his sympathy for far-right leaders in the country, such as Tommy Robinson, who is opposed to immigration.

Robinson was given a sentence of one and a half years in prison at the end of the previous year for violating a court order that prohibited him from repeating false charges about a Syrian refugee.

Musk has been advocating for Robinson’s release from prison.

Musk made the statement on Sunday that Nigel Farage, a politician from the United Kingdom, should not be the leader of the far-right Reform United Kingdom party.

In a recent broadcast from Sky News, Farage also stated that he does not want Robinson to be a member of Reform U.K., and he stated that he does not even want Robinson to be a member.
