The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has now reportedly identified two individuals who allegedly leaked sensitive information regarding the agency’s deportation operations.
Secretary Kristi Noem announced that these leakers have been disclosing details about DHS activities, putting law enforcement officers at risk.
The department plans to pursue legal action against these individuals to ensure accountability and enhance national security.
In her announcement, Noem emphasized the seriousness of the leaks, which reportedly informed the media outlet Migrant Insider and the group Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid about upcoming U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids.
We have identified criminal leakers within @DHSGov and are preparing to refer these perpetrators to the @DOJ for felony prosecutions.
These individuals face up to 10 years in federal prison.

This breach of information raised concerns among ICE officials, who warned that such leaks could endanger the lives of agents involved in these operations.
Despite the leaks, Noem noted that a recent ICE raid was ultimately successful, resulting in the apprehension of members from gangs such as MS-13 and 18th Street, as well as individuals involved in sexual crimes.
DHS is preparing to refer the leakers to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for felony prosecution, with the potential for up to 10 years in federal prison for each individual.
Noem affirmed the agency’s commitment to rooting out leaks and ensuring justice for the American people, reinforcing that those who violate immigration laws will be pursued relentlessly.
The situation highlights the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement in effectively managing immigration enforcement while safeguarding the lives of agents.
Noem’s statements reflect a broader commitment to maintaining operational security and enforcing immigration laws.
The DHS aims to deter future leaks and ensure that law enforcement can carry out its duties without compromising the safety of its personnel.
