CNN’s Harry Enten has now reportedly revealed that a majority of Americans now support the mass deportation of all undocumented immigrants.

During an appearance on CNN News Central, he noted that this sentiment reflects a significant shift in public opinion since Donald Trump’s first term.

Enten explained that, despite criticism of Trump’s administration over the deportation of individuals like Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the president remains popular on immigration issues.

He highlighted that many voters appear to approve of Trump’s approach to immigration, with recent polling indicating that 56% support efforts to deport all undocumented immigrants. This is a notable increase from 2016, when only 38% favored such measures.

The data showed a stark contrast in perceptions of immigration policy under Trump and Joe Biden. In December 2022, 62% of Americans believed the country was on the wrong track regarding immigration, while only 14% felt it was on the right track.

Fast forward to April 2025, and the numbers have flipped, with 45% now saying the country is on the right track compared to 42% who disagree.

Enten emphasized that this shift has contributed to a positive net approval rating for Trump on immigration, a stark change from his earlier term.

He pointed out that as public sentiment has moved closer to Trump’s views, it has fostered a perception that the country is progressing in its immigration policies.

Overall, Enten’s analysis suggests that immigration remains a potent issue for Trump and highlights how public opinion can evolve, impacting political dynamics as the 2024 election approaches.
