According to Chris Cuomo, the host of NewsNation, “lefties” reportedly attempted to downplay President-elect Trump’s assassination in order to use it as the cause for Vice President Harris’s November loss on Tuesday.
“What I found completely appalling and outrageous was how unimpressed lefties were by Trump getting shot in the head,” Cuomo said in a new video posted on his Youtube channel.
The journalist claimed that the group downplayed the July assassination attempt by claiming that the former president “nicked his ear” rather than being shot in the head.
“You get nicked in the ear by a bullet and tell me that it’s no big deal. I’m good. I’m good. Nah, nah, that’s crazy,” he added.
In September, Trump was also the subject of a second assassination attempt.
Cuomo has previously expressed his dissatisfaction with the media’s handling of the incident, which transpired on a golf course in Florida.
Cuomo stated that the Democrats’ reaction to the July incident on the campaign trail demonstrated the disconnect between Harris and her supporters and the American public.
“If that had happened to Harris, you guys would have talked about it for three days nonstop about how we’re in helter-skelter mode or whatever it is. And then you call me a bigot for saying that this is why you lost the election,” he said.
“That’s exactly why you lost the election. You are out of touch. You lost the plot about how people feel in the majority. That’s what you did,” he continued.
“And that was a perfect example of it. That situation? Well, I think it was just a teleprompter. You would have never assessed it that way if you didn’t wish the guy had died.” he concluded.
