Bill O’Reilly recently advised President Donald Trump to distance himself from Elon Musk, who he referred to as a “short timer” and “too hot” for the role of head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

During his appearance on NewsNation’s program with Chris Cuomo, O’Reilly emphasized that while Musk had successfully brought attention to government waste, it was time for “the technicians” to take over.

O’Reilly noted that Musk had effectively completed his task by raising awareness of inefficiencies in government spending. He stated, “You don’t need Elon to go out and sell; it’s sold,” implying that the public is already aware of the issues plaguing the system.

O’Reilly believes that Musk may continue to serve as an advisor to Trump but will likely return to the private sector soon.

Addressing the recent Supreme Court loss in Wisconsin, O’Reilly clarified that Musk’s influence was not a factor, asserting that the implications of his presence would have appeared in exit poll data.

He referred to the Republican candidate, Judge Brad Schimel, stating that the candidate’s conservative stance, especially on abortion, alienated female voters, leading to his defeat.

O’Reilly remarked that Schimel was not a strong candidate, and further investigation into the election confirmed concerns about his approach to contentious issues.

Ultimately, O’Reilly’s commentary reflects a belief that Trump needs to reassess his relationships and leadership structures to ensure the Republican Party’s effectiveness moving forward, especially as they navigate complex political landscapes.
