Bill O’Reilly reportedly likened the conclusion of President Joe Biden’s tenure in the White House to the career of New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
O’Reilly participated with Stephen A. Smith and Chris Cuomo of NewsNation on Wednesday to respond to Biden’s farewell address.
“I want to make a sports analogy so Stephen A. is happy. Joe Biden is going out the same way Aaron Rodgers went out.” O’Reilly said.
“Oh, you think he’s done?” Cuomo inquired.
“I do,” O’Reilly stated
“Ouch,” Smith responded.
“Analogizing him to a Jets player, that’s low, Bill,” Cuomo interjected.
“It’s based on performance. Rodgers comes in with all of the money, with the hope that he’s going to drive the team into the playoffs. And he goes out whimpering because he failed. It’s the same thing with President Biden.” O’Reilly remarked.
“You’re analogy is really, really good. With one exception. Aaron Rodgers is probably going to come back and play. Biden ain’t coming back!” Smith concluded.
Biden cautioned the nation about the emergence of a “oligarchy” just days prior to President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Questions persist regarding Rodgers’s future with the Jets and in football overall, as it remains uncertain whether the 41-year-old will serve as the starting quarterback for the upcoming season.
O’Reilly went on to posit that Trump’s choice for Attorney General, Pam Bondi, has a greater likelihood of playing for the Jets than Rodgers does in the future.
