Monday marked a record low in President Biden’s approval rating, with only 34% of respondents expressing their approval of his performance in the White House.
According to a poll published on Monday by Monmouth University, 61% of respondents expressed disapproval of Biden’s administrative performance.
Biden’s approval ratings have remained below 40 percent for several months, and the election of 2024 is approaching in less than eleven months.
The Monmouth University poll’s approval rating is lower than the 37 percent approval rating found in a Wall Street Journal poll earlier this month.
Furthermore, according to that poll, Biden lagged behind the Republican frontrunner, former President Trump, in a hypothetical 2024 presidential matchup.
Only three out of ten Americans surveyed in the poll released on Monday believe that Biden devotes sufficient attention to the issues that are most vital to them.
In regard to particular matters, 68 percent of respondents expressed discontent with his performance concerning inflation, 69 percent with his performance concerning immigration, and 54 percent with his performance concerning climate change.
52% disapprove of his performance on energy and transportation infrastructure, which has been a significant focus for the president since the passage of the infrastructure bill. 53% disapprove of his performance on employment and unemployment.
In the new survey, which was conducted between November 30 and December 4, 803 adults participated. A margin of error of 4.8 percentage points is present.
