Chris Christie had a rough debate earlier in the week, and he wasn’t afraid to find someone to blame. During a commercial break, the former New Jersey governor walked to the moderator table and lobbied complaints in the typical in-your-face Chris Christie way.

Now Megyn Kelly has said what Christie was so animated about. The Washington Examiner reports:
Kelly addressed a viral clip that captured Christie talking to her at the moderator table on SiriusXM’s The Megyn Kelly Show. Christie used the first break to approach Kelly, “getting up in my grill,” according to the moderator.
“There was also such a speculation about what was happening there. I will tell you what was happening there. It was not off the record. He was pissed off. He was mad that he wasn’t getting enough questions,” Kelly said. “And he said, ‘I made it up in this stage and I haven’t been able to speak in a while and you know I should’ve been brought in on that last debate.'”
Kelly admitted that the former New Jersey governor was excluded in the first 40 minutes of the debate to let the other candidates “fight,” but claimed she knew he was going to get the first question in the second hour. Since she had the foresight of the following question, Kelly claimed that as moderators they were being “totally fair to him.”
“He’s polling at 2%, OK? In no debate ever — I’ve now done six of them — have we given as many questions to the guy who’s at 3% as the person who’s in the lead at least amongst the candidates on the stage,” Kelly said. “I’m sorry Gov. Christie, that’s the way it is.”

During her show, Kelly trolled Christie for polling at 2% and said he was “pissed” during the commercial break.

Christie has struggled in the poll to the point where he will unlikely make the cut for the next GOP debate. In a Hail Mary attempt to make up some lost ground in New Hampshire, the former New Jersey governor has been targeting college campuses, hoping young members of the GOP will lift him up.
USA Today wrote that he “brought harsh words about former President Donald Trump to New Hampshire college campuses Thursday, where students asked him about mass shootings, America’s economy and other issues they’re worried about ahead of 2024.
Christie started his town halls at Franklin Pierce University and Keene State College with a stark warning for young voters: Trump is not fit to be the Republican nominee in 2024.
‘He’s running for president saying I am your retribution…let me guarantee you something since I’ve known him for 22 years. He won’t be anybody’s retribution except for himself,’ Christie said, referencing a promise the former president has often made on the campaign trail.”
Christie sits around 3 percent in national polling in the primary and has some of the lowest favorables in the race, but has said he will not drop out.
