Over the past month, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has shown a willingness to do what is necessary to protect Americans even when Joe Biden wouldn’t.
Earlier in the month, writes New Conservative Post, he “signed an executive order to charter flights into Israel and bring back stranded American citizens caught in a war zone. Under his direction, DeSantis ordered the Florida Division of Emergency Management to coordinate flights that would bring 1,000 or so American citizens and Florida residents back to the United States.
This was in stark contrast to Joe Biden who would only ship Americans to other places in Europe while demanding the sign promissory notes to pay back the government and Donald Trump, who, despite owning a jumbo jet himself, has focused on criticizing Israel’s prime minister.”
Now the governor is standing up to the antisemitism that has popped up on college campuses all over the country. Like most other terrible things happening in liberal states, DeSantis has taken a stance that says, “that’s not going to happen in Florida.”
CBS News reports, “As Israel’s attacks on Gaza have intensified, some college students have expressed solidarity with Palestinians, resulting in swift censure from some Jewish academics and even some prospective employers. But Florida has gone further, taking the extraordinary step of saying Students for Justice in Palestine is supporting a “terrorist organization.”
State university system Chancellor Ray Rodrigues wrote to university presidents Tuesday at Gov. Ron DeSantis’ urging, directing them to disband chapters of SJP after the national group took the position that “Palestinian students in exile are PART of this movement, not in solidarity with this movement.”
“It is a felony under Florida law to ‘knowingly provide material support … to a designated foreign terrorist organization,'” Rodrigues said in the letter.
The U.S. State Department designated Hamas a terrorist group in 1997.”
For decades, U.S. campuses have seen the presence of Students for Justice in Palestine, a loosely connected network with over 200 chapters across the country. They often organize protests advocating for Palestinian liberation and boycotts against Israel.
Over the last few weeks, however, the groups have done more than just call for boycotts, in some cases calling for Israel to be erased from the map or intimidating and attacking Jewish students.
In New York City, at Cooper Union University, for example, an anti-Israel “protest” surrounded a library to which Jewish students had fled, pounding on the doors and demanding that they face the mob.

According to a reporter, the leader of the college claimed that librarians had bolted the doors and told the Jewish students that they could hide in the attic of the building, if they so chose.
