Rudy Giuliani, a former Trump attorney, reportedly entered a not guilty plea on Friday in Georgia to charges relating to an alleged plot to rig the state’s 2020 election.
According to the latest petition, Giuliani also waived his right to show up at an arraignment hearing that was slated to take place in Atlanta the next week.
The action was taken a day after the former president Trump waived his arraignment and entered a not guilty plea.
Giuliani’s plea was expected because his co-defendants had previously entered a number of not-guilty pleas.
After turning himself in last week in Fulton County, he was likewise eager to deny any involvement in the allegations made against him.
“I am very, very honored to be involved in this case, because this case is a fight for our way of life. This indictment is a travesty.” Giuliani said last week during his surrender.
The former mayor of New York City is just one of 19 defendants, including Trump, who were charged with a total of 41 counts last month under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
The majority of Giuliani’s accusations focused on his alleged efforts to propagate allegations of election fraud and his claimed participation in the Georgia plot involving phony electors.
