British broadcaster Piers Morgan hit back at Fox News host Mark Levin on Wednesday after Levin branded him a “washed-up scumbag” in the wake of Republicans’ crushing defeat in Tuesday’s midterm elections.

Levin, a staunch ally of President Donald Trump and an outspoken supporter of the administration’s military campaign against Iran, unloaded on Morgan in a post on X.

“Piers Morgan is a washed-up scumbag, he will always be a washed-up scumbag, and has always been a washed-up scumbag. And in two countries,” Levin wrote.

“His own country has gone to hell thanks to people who share his pathetic imbecility, but he spends his days trashing our country and platforming terror-loving Jihadis, while undermining our military and commander-in-chief,” Levin added.

Morgan, who hosts “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” responded with a short jab of his own, opening with three laughing emojis.

“Morning, Mark. Maybe time to retire?” Morgan wrote.

The exchange is the latest round in a long-running feud between the two commentators, much of it centered on the Iran war and the growing divisions it has created among conservative media figures.

In May, Morgan accused Levin of being a “colossal hypocrite” over his attacks on critics of the conflict. Levin fired back at the time by calling Morgan a “Class-A scumbag.”

The two clashed again in June, when Levin blamed Morgan and other Trump critics for potentially hurting Republicans’ chances in the midterms. Morgan countered by blaming “war-mongering imbeciles” like Levin for the party’s electoral struggles.

Tuesday’s results appeared to give the feud fresh fuel. Democrats won control of both the House and the Senate, and Vice President JD Vance publicly blamed the Iran war for the outcome in a lengthy post on X Wednesday.

“The reason we lost is the war,” Vance wrote.

President Trump also acknowledged that Vance’s assessment was “largely true,” pointing to the war’s short-term impact on gas prices, though he maintained he would make the same decision again.

Others joined the online back-and-forth as well. Conservative commentator Conrad Black weighed in, writing that he has known Morgan for many years and that reports of him being a “washed-up scumbag” are greatly exaggerated, while also disagreeing with Morgan’s sharp criticism of Trump’s economic agenda.

Levin, a longtime radio host and host of Fox News’ “Life, Liberty & Levin,” has been among the most forceful defenders of the Iran campaign in conservative media. Morgan, a former CNN host who now runs his show on YouTube, has emerged as one of its most prominent critics.

The war has opened a visible rift on the right, with some conservatives arguing the conflict was necessary to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and others warning it was costing Republicans support among voters worried about prices at home.

With the GOP now facing two years of a Democratic-controlled Congress, the debate over who is to blame appears far from settled, and if Wednesday’s exchange is any indication, neither Morgan nor Levin plans to back down anytime soon.
