Conservative commentator Benny Johnson appears to be preparing a lawsuit against Milo Yiannopoulos after the British provocateur publicly alleged that Johnson’s image as a devoted family man is a façade and claimed that Johnson engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior with men at political events.

Johnson took to X on Sunday with a pointed message that strongly suggested he intends to pursue legal action. “I am duty bound to take action to protect my family against those who maliciously defame and attack us. More to come on that soon,” Johnson wrote to his four million followers.

He then called on supporters to “pray for healing for some really sick and delusional people. Jesus is about redemption. The legal system is about justice.”

Johnson did not name Yiannopoulos directly. However, the implication became clear when Johnson’s wife, Kate Johnson, posted just hours earlier that Yiannopoulos “needs prayer. And a good attorney.” Her post came two days after Yiannopoulos used Tim Pool’s podcast to level explosive accusations at Johnson.

On the show, Yiannopoulos claimed it was “an open secret” that Johnson had inappropriate encounters at Turning Point USA’s annual Student Action Summit (SAS). “Benny Johnson posts pictures of his children every two days, it’s weird,” Yiannopoulos said. “And everybody knows what went on with Benny Johnson in those lobbies and in those hotel rooms at SAS. Everybody knows.”

Former Rep. George Santos, who appeared as a guest during the episode, immediately pushed back, telling Yiannopoulos he had no idea what he was talking about. But Yiannopoulos escalated further, alleging that “younger men” — though he clarified he did not know their ages — were involved and claiming Johnson’s wife had been “crying drunk in the lobby” at past events. Santos dismissed the comments again, but Yiannopoulos insisted, “Go ask her!”

Santos then asked the obvious question: “Milo, aren’t you ever scared of getting sued?” Yiannopoulos responded he was not concerned because he believes he is “right” and always has his “facts straight.”

On Sunday evening, Yiannopoulos issued a lengthy response to both Benny and Kate Johnson on X, doubling down. “I know more about defamation than any lawyer you will hire,” he wrote. “Benny is a public figure. Malice is a nonstarter. I have receipts, and the truth is a total defense against any claim of defamation or libel. Do you want to lose a defamation case to MILO YIANNOPOULOS OF ALL PEOPLE about whether or not you are gay?”

The public feud highlights deepening fractures among conservative media personalities, especially as some figures amplify sensational accusations for clicks and controversy. Johnson, meanwhile, has built a reputation as a prominent pro-Trump commentator and family-oriented conservative voice — a reputation he now appears ready to defend aggressively through the courts.

The coming weeks are likely to reveal whether Johnson follows through with a lawsuit, and whether Yiannopoulos can substantiate the allegations he claims to have “receipts” for.
