Disturbing bodycam footage played for jurors on Nov. 24 shows pro-Palestine activists violently clashing with British police — including one activist allegedly striking a female officer in the spine with a sledgehammer during a break-in at a factory owned by Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer.

Six members of Palestine Action — a radical, anti-Israel organization that the U.K. has since banned under terrorism laws — are currently on trial for their alleged roles in an August 2024 attack on an Elbit Systems facility, according to Sky News. Prosecutors say the group used a prison van in a “meticulously organized” pre-dawn raid aimed at damaging the defense site.

The accused — Charlotte Head (29), Samuel Corner (23), Leona Kamio (30), Fatema Rajwani (21), Zoe Rogers (22), and Jordan Devlin (31) — face charges including aggravated burglary, violent disorder, and criminal damage. All have pleaded not guilty. Corner specifically denies accusations that he hit police officer Kate Evans with a sledgehammer.

Bodycam footage published by the New York Post shows officers entering the facility as masked, orange jumpsuit-wearing activists allegedly smash machinery and spray-paint walls.

One officer tasers an activist who refuses orders, struggles violently, and tries to get back to her feet while shouting, “You don’t have to do that!”

As the officer attempts to restrain her, a female officer crawls over to assist — only to be struck from behind with a sledgehammer by another protester, the footage shows.

The impact sends her collapsing onto the ground as officers shout and scramble to respond. The attacker is immediately tasered, wrestled down, and disarmed while other activists are subdued.

“You’re the idiot — your mate just hit us with a hammer,” the officer restraining the first suspect tells her. The injured female officer answers faintly from the floor when asked if she is all right: “I think so.”

Another bodycam angle shows the alleged attacker lifting the sledgehammer over his head and charging forward before delivering the blow.

The female officer later testified she suffered a fractured spine.

“I had a pain in my back… It was just a massive shock vibrating through my whole back,” she said. The blow was so forceful it radiated “down to my legs.”

She also testified that after hitting her, the activist accused officers of being “complicit in genocide,” ignoring the fact that he had just seriously injured her.

Palestine Action has a long history of extreme tactics. The group was proscribed as a terrorist organization in the U.K. after activists were accused of vandalizing aircraft at a Royal Air Force base.

The latest case underscores just how dangerous these so-called “activists” can be — moving far beyond peaceful protest into coordinated, violent attacks on police and infrastructure.

As the trial continues, prosecutors say the sledgehammer assault reveals the true nature of the group: not a peaceful political movement, but a radical and increasingly violent organization willing to injure law enforcement officers in pursuit of its agenda.
