Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL), a conservative firebrand known for his staunch support of President Donald Trump and his hardline stance on border security and defense, is now reportedly under renewed scrutiny after a former girlfriend filed for a restraining order that includes a series of troubling allegations ranging from harassment to revenge threats.
The complaint, filed by Lindsey Langston, a prominent Florida Republican and current Miss United States, claims that Mills threatened to release explicit material of her to sabotage her professional and personal reputation.
Langston, who began dating Mills in 2021 and lived with him at his New Smyrna Beach home, says the relationship took a dark turn after she discovered he was also romantically involved with another woman in Washington, D.C.
Langston alleges that after their breakup, Mills refused to respect her boundaries and continued harassing her through various digital platforms.
“The threats from Cory intensified over time,” she told Drop Site News. “From emotional manipulation to physical violence against whoever I date in the future, to threats of having me stripped of the Miss United States crown… something I worked extremely hard for.”
Langston’s police report, filed in July, included timestamped digital evidence of Mills’ ongoing messages. In one message, Mills allegedly warned any future partner of Langston’s that he would “come after them,” regardless of how much time had passed.
Another message from an Instagram account linked to Mills read: “Florida is a small place and my cousin… just moved to Lake City.”
Most concerning for Langston’s pageant title is her claim that Mills threatened to leak explicit photos and videos from their relationship.
The Miss United States organization’s code of conduct explicitly requires contestants to be of “good moral character” and to never have “posed nude in print or any other medium.” A leak of that nature could cost Langston her crown, and Mills, according to her, knew exactly how to exploit that vulnerability.
This isn’t Mills’ first public controversy. In May, soldiers who served with him came forward with allegations of stolen valor. More recently, Mills was reportedly being evicted from his D.C. penthouse over unpaid rent, a property where another former girlfriend, Sarah Raviani, accused him of assault earlier this year.
Though she later recanted and the arrest warrant was withdrawn, the incident revealed Mills had not finalized his divorce and was juggling multiple relationships—creating a personal storm that has spilled over into his public role.
Three additional women interviewed by Drop Site shared their own experiences with Mills, describing him as manipulative and abusive.
One claimed he sent her to a male acquaintance for sex, while others called him a “psychopath,” citing threats intended to keep them silent.
Langston has urged law enforcement to take her claims seriously. GOP leaders in Florida have so far remained silent, but calls for an ethics investigation into Mills’ conduct may soon follow.
For now, Mills remains in office—facing mounting legal and personal pressure as questions grow about whether his behavior is consistent with the values he claims to represent.
