In a new interview, Senator Bernie Sanders reportedly criticized the Democratic Party for its lack of action in resisting former President Donald Trump, asserting that they have been “playing dead for too many years.”

Sanders emphasized the urgent need for the party to advocate for the working class, particularly in light of rising income inequality and widespread financial struggles among Americans.

During the interview, Sanders responded to comments made by Democratic strategist James Carville, who suggested that the party should remain passive and allow Republicans to falter on their own.

Sanders strongly disagreed, arguing that this approach ignores the pressing issues facing the nation.

“Oh, no. I don’t. In fact, the problem is the Democrats have been playing dead for too many years. 60% of our people live paycheck to paycheck. We have more income and wealth inequality than we’ve ever had in the history of this country. We have the highest rate of childhood poverty of almost any major country. Millions of seniors are struggling to heat their homes and put food on the table.” Sanders said.

He pointed out that a significant portion of the population lives paycheck to paycheck and highlighted alarming statistics regarding childhood poverty and the struggles of seniors to afford basic necessities.

The far-left senator Sanders tried to portray the current administration as one that primarily serves the interests of the wealthy, citing the high number of billionaires appointed to key positions.

Sanders also called for a robust defense of the working class and an active campaign to address these inequalities.
