James Carville has reportedly stated that he is somewhat at a loss for a way ahead for the Democrats, stating that “we are getting overwhelmed.”
One of the topics that Carville and his co-host Al Hunt discussed on Politics War Room was the rapid pace of President Donald Trump’s second term.
Carville attributed this to a comment from Steve Bannon, which was mentioned during the conversation.
“Bannon is right. We are flooded in shit and we are searching for a way to deal with this. These are extraordinarily difficult times,” the legendary Democratic strategist remarked.
“We’re getting overwhelmed. Things that we thought that would kill a political career, would be poisonous for whatever reason, this guy keeps chugging along.” he continued.
Carville raised concerns about a number of Trump’s plans, one of which was that the United States should take control of Gaza. He expressed his concern that the “crazier” ideas are becoming like “elevator music.”
“I’m struggling here a little bit, so maybe some of our really smart viewers can help us untangle it a little bit. It’s really tangled now because no one knows where to land. It’s all too incomprehensible.” he stated.
Carville was one of the first people to criticize former Vice President Joe Biden’s brief campaign for reelection, and he has since provided a variety of criticisms regarding Kamala Harris’s campaign.
