Fox News commentator and ex-Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA) bashed Democrats over Vice President Harris’s latest campaign advertisement featuring actress Julia Roberts.
During a segment on Fox News’s “Hannity,” Gingrich remarked that the ad seems to promote “women lying to their husbands.”
“For them to tell people to lie,” Gingrich said on Thursday. “Is just one further example of the depth of their corruption. How do you run a country where you’re walking around saying ‘wives should lie to their husbands, husbands should lie to their wives’?”
He further questioned, “What kind of a totally amoral, corrupt, sick system have the Democrats developed? If you think about it at that level, it is astonishing, the decay.”
Gingrich then lamented the current state of the Democratic Party, accusing it of lacking the dignity and patriotism once epitomized by past leaders, like former President Kennedy.

“Instead of having a dignity and patriotism and a sense of morality, these are really sick people,” Gingrich continued.
“And the more you watch them, to say, ‘Oh, why don’t you lie to your husband?’ as a publicly advocated ad? That is sick. And I think we ought to have the courage to say this is a sick, dishonest party.”
The advertisement by Vote Common Good, featuring Roberts’ narration, highlights the confidentiality of voting, assuring women they can vote independently of family influence.
“In the one place in America where women still have a right to choose, you can vote any way you want, and no one will ever know,” states Roberts in the ad.
The video presents two women voting for Harris-Walz, later encountering their spouses. When one husband inquires, “Did you make the right choice?” his wife responds, “Sure did, honey.”
Roberts concludes the ad with, “Remember, what happens in the booth, stays in the booth. Vote Harris-Walz.”
