Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez, a Republican from Florida, reportedly suggested on Wednesday that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) should have her “head examined” after she claimed that humans can control the weather.

“Humans cannot create or control hurricanes. Anyone who thinks they can, needs to have their head examined.” Gimenez posted on the social platform X.

In the past few days, Greene has made a number of additional allegations regarding the storm’s fabrication.

Greene’s post is not the first instance in which the Georgia lawmaker has discussed the weather.

She defended her assertion online in April that an eclipse and an earthquake were signals from God urging people to repent.

Hurricane Milton is currently en route to the western coast of Florida.

It is anticipated to make landfall late Wednesday and bring a storm surge that poses a life-threatening threat.

The Southeast is still in the process of recuperating from Helene, and this is the second significant storm to strike in recent weeks.

The aftermath of the hurricane has led to a surge in online misinformation, and leaders are warning that it is exacerbating the already challenging recovery and response process.

Republicans, including former President Trump, have asserted that the government is diverting aid to migrants and withholding assistance from Republican hurricane victims.
