President Biden reportedly expressed his confidence that the November presidential election will be equitable; however, he is uncertain whether it will be peaceful if Republican nominee Donald Trump fails to reclaim the White House.
“I’m confident it will be free and fair. I don’t know whether it will be peaceful. The things that Trump has said, and the things that he said last time out, when he didn’t like the outcome of the election, were very dangerous.” Biden said.
Biden cited Tuesday’s vice-presidential debate, asserting that Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, did not say he’d accept the outcome of the 2024 election and had still not accepted the 2020 results.
During a campaign event in Auburn Hills, Michigan, on Wednesday, Vance declined to respond to the query regarding the exchange once more.
In response to Biden’s remarks, the Trump campaign stated that the former president has expressed his willingness to embrace the outcomes of a free and fair election.
Biden also stated during Friday’s briefing that he was uncertain as to whether Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was delaying a peace agreement in an effort to sway the U.S. election.
